If you’re a keen wine buff, then five wine regions – all within an hour’s drive of Bright – will appeal.  Many of the wineries also have excellent restaurants, so you can indulge in two of your favourite pleasures! For the record, the five wine regions are – Alpine Valleys, King Valley, Rutherglen, Glenrowan & Beechworth. And yes, all of them are well worth a visit!

Micro-Breweries

If you’re an aficionado of the amber nectar, Bright Victoria, is the place for you – the area is home to some of Victoria’s most renowned craft breweries.

The Bright Brewery is making some exceptional beers and is popular with both locals and visitors. Bridge Road Brewers in Beechworth (45 minute drive) is also a beer lovers dream. Not only are their beers superb, but their pizzas are fresh and delicious. Both of these breweries have some serious al fresco action going on… while in colder months, their indoor spaces are warm and inviting. Sweetwater Brewing Company in Mt. Beauty is also a lovely little spot to enjoy an ale. The perfect place to expand upon that epic MTB trail or ski run!
